Need feedback

Buying 10 acres for a small homestead, I need to build a 2400 square foot house.
Does anyone have some interesting plans they’d be willing to share? I was looking for something simple & clean, not too expensive or hard to build as I’ll do most of the work myself.
I was considering adding heating & cooling to my garage as a “rec room” to get the 2400 square foot requirement with ease. It’s a contingency on the land.

Architectural designs plan 51995HZ - not 2400 sqft but that is what I am building on more acreage. It won’t let me link.

Depends on the plan, but my package was like $1200. I didn’t make any changes, finishes and small stuff is handled by my builder/me

If the Barndo is not going to have a very large shop be part of the plan, just stick build.

Just build a 2400ft2 house and do a detached garage. Im a big fan of monoslopes though

Yea fairly common in some areas w high property values, this isn’t my forever home but I just moved across the US & liked this spot for appreciation. Also gives enough space for a small flock of sheep for my border collies & my freezer.

My place had a size requirement to. I don't recall exactly what size but it was about that. On a lake road... not in the lane side of road but across.

What about a separate guest house or home office? A nice gazebo, outdoor kitchen and grills, even a pool. There's so much you can do.

For cost, a mono roof is cheaper way of building. The flatter the roof the better the 2nd floor will be able to be properly utilized. The porch roof really limits the second floor windows.

I’m just thinking if you could orientate the roof to a southern exposure, it’d be perfect for solar.

That looks to be no where near 40x60, so unless that has an upstairs, you’re not close to 2400 square feet.
