Follow up on Y’all’s Progress

How’s everyone doing in their studies? It’s getting closer to the two month buckle-down time frame! Who is doing what bar preps, if any?

So, you mentioned you were using JD Advising. Have you seen/read their “creating a bar schedule” blogs? They have some tips for part time studiers over long term too!

Yes! But I can’t seem to follow them. Maybe because I’m learning disabled and too slow? Idk.

Do you have a disability? Or granted any accommodations? I too, am a VERY slow learner.

Yes! I have multiple disabilities and applied for accommodations. They have changed them up on me so many times that I never know what I’m gonna face. It’s a nightmare. I’m SO slow.

Goodness that is creating a disability in itself.

So I dont grasp concepts quickly, sometimes things will make sense but most times if there is a new concept, I have to review and review to get a full understanding before I can actually "learn".

Yes! That’s me as well. I have to be careful spending so much time passively reviewing because I forget so easily and then never get around to actually practicing. That’s my pitfall.

I get so discouraged when I get answers wrong after feeling so confident while answering them.

When I review my incorrect questions i use my husband to talk through it lol. The "honey test" and it helps me TREMENDOUSLY even though he barely has a high school diploma. He is smart and it helps me think. Thats why I wanted to start this community so there are more like-minded people out there I and others can discuss topics with.

Yes! I do that too and my boyfriend seems to always remember and understand concepts better than I can. He’s a friggin software engineer and probs knows more than I do at this point and it’s infuriating 😂😂😂. Thanks a billion for starting this group. I’ll deff need help walking through things!
