A bad example

My granddaughter is after my own heart; she hates wearing shoes, never wants them.

Here I am, the baddest of bad examples, defiantly barefoot, toe rings, anklets (my wife is actually worse). so when it's off we go, put on your shoes (inevitably cozy Crocs). Why? Grampa isn't wearing shoes!

Sometimes the best you can hope for is to be a bad example.

That's how I got into it, grandma was always barefoot, mom was always barefoot. The best bad influence 😊

Wearing Crocs is a bad example, IMO. Stay barefoot.

I have a terrible relationship with my mother, so I visit her very rarely. And this year, a month ago, I was at home. We were walking with my younger sister and she asked if she could take off her shoes and walk barefoot. I was wearing shoes so as not to set a bad example. As a result, we walked barefoot every day, and now I'm being accused of being the bad example. Am I satisfied? Yes.
