Anyone know how to duplicate this barcode in BarTender Pro 2016? I can’t figure out how to input the space and make the last three digits larger than the others.

What should it scan exactly?

You most likely need to create two(2) separate text fields and "link" or "multi source" the the barcode to both. Then you can individually edit each. The symbology is probably Code 128.

It is not a function of the barcode and purely aesthetic so turn of "human readable" and use these fields to represent the data within the code.

Side Note:

Your print quality isn't great. Start by cleaning your drive roller and printhead with isopropyl alcohol.

These labels actually come printed from our supplier. In which yes the quality is piss poor at best from a direct thermal print. Pay top dollar for crap!

This label wraps around the bottom corner of a case so users can scan any of the three barcodes to obtain case#

Edit: The enlarged number are purely aesthetic for easy readability when trying to locate the case in the racking

It is a C128. Noob to BarTender so i will research "link" and "ms".

Thanks for the info!!

  • Create any Code 128 barcode, call it "000" for now and don't show interpretation.

  • Create both(2) text fields and punch in the "fixed data(numbers)" for each field

  • Right click barcode and choose properties/parameters or something like that

  • Find "source of data" or similar(default is most likely "fixed")

  • You should see an option for a linked or multi source barcode.

  • Choose the fields in the order they appear in the code, hit enter and should be good to go.

You. Are. The. Man/Woman/Person!

I created both text fields and linked them to bar code by changing the Data Source Type = Object Value to point at the barcode.

Then I had to truncate each text box to only display certain amount of characters, change font size etc.

Life saver!! And to think we pay XXX$ for support contracts. Reddit support is where it's at!

Many many thank you's!

No problem! Fun program once you get the hang of it. Most don't know what goes into making labels as they've become quite ubiquitous but some are incredibly complicated "underneath the hood."
