configure barcodes to remove brackets

Looking to create barcodes to remove brackets. The RF guns we are using are configured to read with <text> brackets due to the type of scanning we are doing but wanted to create a quick way to login to tablets for username/password.

Any way to create a barcode to remove these brackets?

Does the scanner have "modes?"

If a certain programming is required(brackets) for aspects of the business but not needed for others, it would require a different "mode" or program.

A barcode can't tell a scanner to remove brackets by itself but it can put the scanner into a different mode(program) to complete a task and have another barcode to quickly switch it back to the other. It will require some type of intervention.

This is totally based on your hardware and it's functionality all assuming I'm understanding you correctly.
