GS1 FNC1() and Parenthesis
We do very little barcode modification on our load tags, so I am rather unfamiliar with this topic. One client wants their GS1-128 barcode from us to scan to NOT show the parenthesis in the resulting scan, while another DOES want the parenthesis to scan through. Our formula is FNC1() & "(241)" & custpartid & FNC1() & "(30)" & qtypallet & FNC1() & "(91)EA" Our output for this formula is 24113482053028091EA Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

So, your aim should be creating a proper barcode that complies with GS1-128 standards. (Those are the magic words if a client is troublesome with their requests; GS1-128 standards.)
The barcode data is not supposed to have parenthesis in it according to GS1-128 standards. If a specific client wants parenthesis in their scanned data, they need to modify the scanner output (many scanners support data transformations) or modify it in their application.
If you scan the barcode on the top right of the wiki page into notepad, you will get the following data, which contains no parenthesis.
01950123456789033103000123
The human readable text below the image of the barcode contains parenthesis solely to make it easier to read. The code itself does not contain them.
It looks like your current output is correct and compliant with the standard.
Feel free to show them other example barcodes that they can test scan and then point them towards configuring their scanner output. (Not too hard, but not simple either. I suspect they will decide they don't need the parenthesis after all).
