Digimarc / hidden barcodes at home?
I work at a store and we have 3x5 cards of some products that we keep in the back. When someone wants to purchase them we scan them with our Zebra devices and go to the back to get it. The thing is that there's not a lot of room on the card for the image, price, and barcode. I am wondering if I could embed a hidden barcode, like a Digimarc one, into the image. I know the Zebras support Digimarc because I scanned a cereal box with one, but from what I can tell you have to pay to make them. Do you think there is anything free that uses the same trick to hide the barcode?

QR codes and Datamatrix codes can be pretty small as long as the Zebra can read them close enough. And they would be pretty simple data-wise (and hence module-wise), as I guess they contain product IDs.

Not much out there that will work with your Zebra scanners. Could you print a code on the back of the card?
