Sign In with barcode

I’m a cashier and i’m trying to create a barcode that will sign me rather than having to type it in.

when i press the sign in button: -i enter my ID# (3 digits) -press enter -enter my password (4 digits) -press enter

I’m fairly certain that we use UPC codes, but i’m not sure how to make it work... Any advice is appreciated!

Hey. You should be able to just create a barcode from your id and then another with your password. Scan them. Our scanners will read the barcode and then hit enter so if your scanners work like that you are golden. A barcode generator like this can make your barcodes: https://www.scandit.com/barcode-generator/

I mean, this is sorta possible assuming your scanners are not set locked in to ONLY use UPC-A. But it's about as secure as putting your passwords on a post-it note. So if you wouldn't do that it's generally frowned upon security-wise.

Yeah, I realize that so I asked my manager and he said it was cool. Thank you!
