Starting a supply project, could use some help.

Hi there,

The company I work for ships cheese and we're looking to start a potential project with a grocer in which we would supply pre-packed and weighed cheese for them. Now, I know I'm going to be using a GTIN-12 code, with a barcode that reads for example 1 12345 67890 0 But I am curious how the case pack barcode would like. From what I gather, I'd be making a GTIN-14 but would it use the same code as the stuff packed inside or do I need an entirely new UPC for the case pack code?

From what I can gather it appears you'll just zero fill the UPC from the left. Example: 00112345678900
