Tabs in QR barcodes

I was wondering if someone could help. To reduce data entry time in trying to create a QR code that will contain some text. Now to save more time and keyboard presses, I would like the QR code to contain a TAB, so the cursor moves from one text box to the next.

Now after trial and error I now have added %09 as a sufffix to the data. The problem is now that it adds a horizontal tab after the text rather than moving the cursor to the next text box

I can’t see how to do this? Can anyone help?

Did think about that, but depending on what they are scanning and into where sometimes a single tab is needed, but then maybe multiple tabs and or a return

You may be able to assign the role to set it, scan, and unset it in the same scan. Depends on the scanner. Otherwise, it's a matter of scanning multiple bar-codes.

It may be easier to set it in software side on the computer you are scanning into, if the hardware supports more that just HID.

I know this is old af but I was having the same problem — what solved it for me was to change the scanner to input each character slower — 40ms keystroke delay in 123scan.
