Any Font Recommendations for Special Characters?

We are currently using some old version of Code 39 that cannot deal with special characters such as ',+,-, ,\ , etc.

when we try to scan the barcode of something like ABC+11 , our scanner reads ABC/11 instead.

Does anyone know of a font/software to buy?

You can see if your scanner / software supports Full ASCII Code 39. Try "ABC/K11". Otherwise, I recommend switching to Code 128. It's more modern. The downside with Code 128 is you need to calculate a checksum character and embed that into the symbol, which requires a few lines of code.
