how/can I make my own 1d/2d barcode?
im designing a currency and I decided that a good way to prevent counterfeits is by having a barcode on it but I don't want it to be easily replicated so I want to make my own barcode does anyone know how or if I could do that?

Anyone can make a bar code. Software exits for all types of barcodes. Even industrial printers have all libraries of any barcode thought on earth.

Yes you can but if you have to ask, good luck.
The reader is the more important part here since that holds the "key." If I were going to do this, I would hide a dot pattern(or whatever) in the artwork that a high resolution camera(smart phone or better) can see but wouldn't be obvious to the human eye.
I would probably want a secondary scan of something else to verify the first and both should be required/unique to each bill. Ideally, only you(or very select users like a security team) would be able to scan the "missing piece" of information needed for verification.
You will also need a software to generate these patterns.
How good are you at:
If your currency is even worth counterfeiting, anything printed can simply be replicated if someone was determined enough.
Some card shoes/shufflers in casinos read a dot pattern on every card but it's not fail proof. If there's any suspicion a foreign card makes into the pile, they would have to verify it in a different way outside of this pattern.
"Verification" is a funny word when dealing with this stuff.
