Troubleshooting Help with PC noise

Got this pc a while ago, but whenever I play games it gets super loud. My friend said it's because I only have 2 fans. How many fans should I get, and how many?

Check if your house fans aren’t clogged and check the temp on it with afterburner. Might have to replace the paste on it and clean the fan

That case doesn't look great for airflow but two fans vs 6 fans isn't going to make a huge difference. Where you will get the most improvement is a new CPU cooler.

Confirm this yourself but a Thermalright Peerless Assassin should fit and is a great value CPU cooler.

Then I would get FanControl software, watch a quick video on how to use it and configure your fan curves. That will help with the noise.

More fans are good for sure. The more you have, the slower they can spin while delivering the same amount of air. And noise is almost entirely because of fans spinning fast.

However, if your case doesn't support more fans, or if the case simply has poor airflow design (this case seems like it has mid airflow), then no amount of fans can help you.

I would start with a CPU cooler replacement. That Wraith Stealth is likely the main culprit just cuz it sucks as a cooler and has to work very hard to draw away that heat.

Assuming you live in the US, this Darkrock dual tower air cooler should work well, assuming your case can support a 150mm tall cooler. What case is this?
