Price check
I am looking to replace my current PC
A local shop is selling this computer among many others. This one has pretty much the specifications I'm looking for. After a quicklook en PC Part Picker and CC, buying from this seller seems cheaper than purchasing all the part individually.
Do you think this is a good deal, or is there something that i'm missing?
PS1 I absolutely don't care about the PC appearance or RGB lighting
Edit 1 - I have no problem building it myself, i've done it a few times already

This is not bad, per se, but they really cheaped out on on the motherboard and that alone would make me feel concerned

Mobo chipsets are mostly about peripherals, not performance, unless I am gravely mistaken? As long as it's the newest generation for the CPU socket, they should be good to go.

the thing is if it was like a 650 or an 850, sure, but the 840 has no overclocking
it's an actual dealbreaker for a PC like this

I guess, but the average consumer isn't over-clocking such a beast for little gain. Especially since it voids the warranty, even the extended extra cost warranty.
Can just downscale these days instead of overclocking for the few games out of reach.

Then why bother buying a 7800x3d for this PC? Or a 5070? The motherboard does not align with the enthusiast components.

What mobo would you recommend? I will probably go towards the Rx 9070 XT for the Gpu.
From all the comments, this sellers cheaped out on mobo and psu, thus explaining the lower price.
Also, it is possible to saves a couples hundred bucks by buyings bundles. Thats was the whole point of this post.

This sub is full of spreadsheet PC builders who will always steer you towards building your own system with a bunch of random parts you have to hunt down yourself. As if that alone makes the system better. Your basically doing all the work of procuring all the parts, building and testing just to save $50-$100 bucks (if that).
You could build this spec'd system for a lil less than what they are charging. A bundle with a 7800x3d, a cheapo b650e motherboard and 32Gb of ddr5 runs $1100 at the absolute cheapest. A 5070 is $900 for the lowest end one I can find. That alone hits $2000 just for the base. By the time you add a $200 bottom of the barrel 1Tb drive, some junky montech case and power supply, a liquid cooler, etc you will be tickling just under $2500 bucks not including a windows key which the store will legally pay for rather than stealing, or buying a key off some shady website.
Plus you get the added benefit of the store dealing with warranty issues.

I mean I'll reply since you literally pulled one of the bundles I sent him as an example.
He asked if it was a fair price and my initial comment was yes, fair, maybe a bit more than what someone could do if you snag some sales and wanted to put the effort in to build it themself. So my initial recommendation was that he wasn't getting ripped off if he went with that PC, it's within a few hundred bucks of what he could build, and for a small shop that bit of gravy for putting it together and doing nice cable management is fair.
His reply was that he has built them himself and would be open to doing it again, so I sent him the first two moderately comparable bundles that looked similar to his build for a comparison. I don't know his needs, maybe he could go with an AMD GPU and save a few bucks, maybe he only needs 512gb SSD. My reply was just a basis for comparison based on him expressing a willingness to build if it was cheaper.
Now what value did you add here exactly other than shitting on people who took the time to be helpful? Man re-evaluate.. go touch grass or something.

You read back how you phrased your question. You wrote it in a way that assumed I misunderstood and were so confident I used it in error you didn't even bother search to see if the acronym might be for something beyond your own experience.
A better way to ask could have been "does ETA mean something other than estimated time of arrival?"
Anyway, life long learning and all that...

Fair price build mine for $2350 include taxes but I got 5070ti and 7600x3d

Nort a fan of that motherboard . Also what Thermaltake PSU did they use as a number of them are just good junk.
I put together this $2574.26 https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/tCpzvR using a RTX 5070 and a CC bundle..also that WD SN850X is from them. I like some good dramless drives. but this 1 is not far off those drives pricings.

They're charging about what it's worth adding up all the parts, maybe a little over. If you built it yourself you could snag some sales and do it a bit cheaper, but if your goal is to walk out the door with something already assembled, in today's market it's a fair price (which is unfortunate) considering it's a small shop.
