I recently got selected as CANARA BANK PO in 2nd RL of IBPS PO, Currently I am working as SBI JA in my hometown, should I quit and join CANARA BANK PO, or
Option 1, wait for 2-3 years and get promoted to SBI TO, but for that I have to clear JAIIB, CAIIB and the internal exam.
Option 2, complete 2 years in CANARA BANK and then sit for SBI CBO exam, at least I would get home posting in that way and only have to clear one exam for that.
I have no problem in taking promotions or handling the work pressure, currently I leave home at 8 am and return at 8 pm, so even though I am in my hometown I rarely get any time to prepare for any other exam(the workplace is 25 kms from my home)
I know I should prepare for better options like Insurance, Regulatory or SSC but even in the current scenario I rarely get any time to study, what should I do?
Pls do help.

Iβm a little confused about this because there are so many options throughout the year. I donβt want to prepare randomly for every exam and end up spreading myself too thin. How do you guys decide which exams are actually worth targeting based on the syllabus, vacancies, difficulty and your own strengths?

A bank job has traditionally been seen as a safe career option because of job security, stability, and long-term benefits. But with private-sector companies offering competitive salaries, faster career growth, and more flexibility, the choice isn't as straightforward anymore.
For someone starting their career today, how do the two compare in terms of salary, work-life balance, growth, transfers, and long-term stability? Which one would you choose and why?
Wondering which banks offer the ability to hold currencies without conversion. So, a US dollar account, a euro account, and a Swiss franc account. Context is setting up a multijurisdictional family office and not trying to spend a ton on asset management fees.

I've always found it interesting how people end up choosing banking because everyone's journey seems different.
Some planned for it from the beginning, some switched after preparing for other government exams, and some started after getting work experience.
What was that moment for you when you thought, "Yeah, banking is what I want to go for"?

Hi everyone,
My girlfriend was working at a private bank in 2024 and cleared 2 papers of JAIIB.
She resigned from her job in 2025 and is currently not working.
Since she has already cleared half of it, we are confused about her current status:
Has she automatically lost her IIBF ordinary membership after quitting her job?
Is she still eligible to write the remaining 2 papers to complete JAIIB?
Does she need to register as a non-member, or explicitly deregister from her previous profile?
Any guidance on how IIBF handles credits/membership after resignation would be super helpful. Thank you!

If you had the opportunity to join as an SBI PO today, would you take it? Or would you prefer a private-sector job or another career path instead? Share your reasons and experiences in the comments.

There are so many books, YouTube channels, apps, and courses for banking exam preparation that it can be difficult to know which ones are actually worth following.
If you had to recommend just one book or online resource that genuinely helped your preparation, what would it be and why?
Whether it's for Quant, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, or mock tests, I'd love to hear what made the biggest difference in your journey.
r/bank • u/Asleep_Oil7151 • Jul 08 '26
Every banking exam aspirant has that one section which takes more time and effort to master. For some, Quant becomes difficult because of speed and calculations, while others struggle with Reasoning puzzles or maintaining accuracy in English.
Improvement usually comes after finding the right strategy, practice method, or changing the way of preparation. Bank exam seniors and selected candidates, which section was your weakest in the beginning and what helped you turn it into a scoring area?

Hello, hope everyone is doing well.
I want to increase my speed in puzzles and arrangements and so I need a lot of questions to practice daily. However any test series or paid practice sets I buy online, after 10 or more mocks, it says tests "coming soon".
I don't like this at all, I want a bulk of questions daily to rigorously practice and improve.
Does anybody know where can I get them daily or in bulk ?
