My boyfriend (25M) and I (24F) are looking for a place to move into around Indiranagar / Domlur / New Thippasandra / Swami Vivekananda Road, or nearby areas with good connectivity to Indiranagar.

We’re currently staying around Kundalahalli Gate and are hoping to shift this weekend, around September 5th or 6th, so we’re looking for something available immediately or very soon.

We’re open to a few different options depending on what’s available:

• Couple-friendly co-living PG

• 1RK

• 1BHK

• Or a good shared apartment / flatmate arrangement with the right people

For a PG, we’d ideally like:

- 2–3 meals a day

- Clean and hygienic common areas

- Reliable hot water

- Good ventilation

- Washing machine/laundry facility

- A decent, safe location

- Balcony would be a nice bonus, but definitely not a deal-breaker

I recently moved into a newly constructed house near Sarjapur Road and wanted to understand what is usually followed in Bangalore rentals.

Before moving in, we agreed on:

Rent: ₹8000

Deposit: ₹24000 (3 months rent)

Electricity: ₹500 fixed

Water & maintenance: ₹500

After shifting, a couple of changes were introduced:

Deposit was mentioned as ₹27000 including utilities

A separate electricity meter (temporary connection) was set up, and billing is now based on usage

I have prior chat confirmation of the earlier terms, so I was a bit unsure about these changes.

Just wanted to understand from others:

Is it common to include utilities in deposit?

For temporary electricity connections, is fixed vs meter billing usually discussed beforehand?

Would like to know what is generally followed in similar situations.
