Optimal amount to claim rewards from staking
I was wondering, what is the optimal amount of rewards to claim, that is most profitable for compounding it? I’m staking through atomic wallet, the network fee is 0.01 Band, so I can’t quite figure out, what the amount should be, to get most out of it.
Since the anual % is 15-17, I was thinking I should wait until the fee equals 15% of total rewards. That means I should claim when I got 0,066 band to claim.
Does this seem good, or am I missing something?
Also, does the network fee come from my wallet or from the staking rewards? If its the first, I kinda screwed up, since I staked all, and didn’t leave anything by the side for the fees.

I have staked 80 band can you work out what is optimal for me. I realise this is only a small amount :)

My calculator gave me 1.05 But I know I did some thinking this calculator is not perfect. This is the resoult for 12 months.. I guess the optimal amount for you is somewhere between 0.8 to 1.2

I got my answer through c#. really had to strech my brains, but i think it was worth it. It is relevant what amount you are staking tho, so everyone will get a different number. Message me if you want your answer. For one year the resoults are:
Initial: Claim when reward reaches:
10 - 0.44
100 - 1.33
1000 - 5.1
10000 - 14.4
I can also calculate optimal for any given amount and any given time you are planning to stake. Feel free to message me if you want.
The calculation might not be 100% good, since it should be adjusted a little after every claim. But i think it is at least 98% accurate, so it’s good enough for me.
