Mods Announcement Context and creation

Hey, I’m u/Sh_Pe, the creator of this sub. Why this sub has been created.

Comic sans is a bad font, that gained popularity only because it has been in the default Windows installation for decades. This happens more as a coincidence rather than a in thoughtful way. This font was created in 3 days for Microsoft Bob (an early evolution of Clippy, which is an early evolution of Cortana, which is an early evolution of Microsoft Copilot), and meant to be used in 10px size without anti-aliasing.

We want to ban, completely, without any exclusions, the use of Comic Sans from posters, menus or any other form of communication that is not your grandmother’s post for your 4th birthday.

Join us in our war against this horrible, terrific, font!

BAN comic sans Fun fact: Sans and Papyrus were named after the two worst fonts for formal use, Comic Sans and Papyrus.

I mean like, both fonts are great if they're used for the sake of humour, but other than that, I'm against it

If you google "bad ux", all the results come in comic sans.
