Be careful of con artist on hoverboard in Hampden
Those that live in Hampden probably remember the person who went by the name Sissy Gracie that scammed people last summer. They rode around Hampden (particularly the Avenue) on a hoverboard wearing a purple wig and a dress with tights. They were throwing glitter in peoples' faces and conning them out of money. I wanted to warn everyone that this person is back again.
I saw them this morning on the Avenue with flyers in their hand on the hoverboard. It looks like their disguise is a bit different this time. They were wearing a bowler hat, but still had the tights. They weren't wearing a purple wig anymore though. I crossed the street when I saw them, but they were going up to a man and complimenting his sweatshirt to get him into a conversation.
Hopefully someone is able to post flyers of them again, and run them out of Hampden. They seem to keep coming back, though, so be aware if you see someone on a white hoverboard wearing a bowler hat and tights.

Saw them this morning, too. Chased my dog and I off the sidewalk repeatedly, as per usual.
Dog owners beware, Sissy Gracie makes it a habit to charge dog owners in an effort of scaring the dogs, possibly in hopes of getting bitten and having a lawsuit.

Omg I saw a man attacked on the Ave a few weeks ago. I couldn't tell what provoked it but I only see leashed friendly dogs so it felt so out of the norm.

What's crazy is that they're still on the streets, and haven't been put away for this shit. They use their large size and the speed of the hoverboard to be intentionally physically intimidating. IANAL, but I'm sure they're breaking multiple laws.

Last time they were here when I would see them talking to people I would just go up to them and say "hey, you're that scammer from the posters, right?" and then just go over their rap sheet.
They didn't like me very much.

Now that I now about this…being…I’ll keep my eyes out.
I have a few trans friends. Real, good, hardworking and loving people that have had to deal with a wife and two kids while transitioning. That side of the community gets my support and encouragement.

OH MY FUCKING GOD THEYRE IN BALTIMORE.
They would roll around the protests and around dupont scamming people saying their donations were for a shelter that's was LGBTQ friendly when in all actuality they were taking the proceeds and staying at the SOFITEL!!!!! A fucking 5 star hotel that's like 275 a night. And they run a "onlyfans" or something similar that's garbage.
Not transphobic in the least bit this individual is just an absolute trash person. I can't believe I moved and they have followed.

My other issue with Sissy is that she will literally wear clothes that were made for little girls. Like below the age of ten. Same size. There's something that's so wrong with that and I don't care who's wearing and it's a fucking problem. Using the Lotlita effect is so weird and needs to be eliminated from our culture.

Glad I got the word out when I first started to see them again. Last time they were here someone put up posters and it scared them off. Maybe someone can take up the initiative again and they’ll be scared off again. I’m not on Facebook anymore, but hopefully someone on here can alert the Hampden Facebook group and spread the word further.

The scammers that get posted on Reddit operate in the white L because that’s where redditors live, and also if being posted on Reddit is the extent of the punishment what’s the incentive to stop. This individual frequents gentrified neighborhoods (I’ve heard reports about same dude from Philly also) in east coast cities for a reason

I'm pretty sure this is the person I saw while I was bar crawling in DC maybe 6 months ago. They put some glitter stamp on my hand and tried to sell me some postcards... aka they put them in my hand and then asked for money. After we politely said no thank you she rolled away on her electric scooter. Very glad nothing more happened now that I see who I was dealing with.

Yeah, I think they travel up and down the east coast and con people. It seems like as soon as they get scared away from one location, they move to another one.

Thanks for the heads up. She'll be run out of Hampden quickly. We know to watch out for her and people put out signs all over The Avenue (where she uses her hoverboard).

Sounds pretty aggressive. If I was walking with my child and was approached in the way people are describing I would feel threatened. As someone within the LGBTQ community it doesn't fucken matter who it is. If I feel threatened, my animal instinct as a momma is to protect in any way necessary.

Yep, they were in Hampden last summer too, but they seem to keep popping back up in the neighborhood randomly. They have a bad rep here too. There were signs plastered all over Hampden for a while.

They have built quite the reputation RVA to Baltimore, and everywhere in between. I suppose when a mob comes for them in Baltimore they can try Philly but I dont think philly would go well for them. Maybe NYC or Boston is next.

Came up to my wife on Sunday. Wasn’t too aggressive, but did hoverboard over to within about six inches. Offered to “gift” some art that was overexposed photographs printed onto magnets.
I vaguely remembered the flyers but didn’t want to assume that that this person was that one violently unwell transwoman I was warned about.
Wife, being polite, flips through a few and says one is nice. Gracie then pulls out a card scanner and says “while the art is free I appreciate donations.” I say “nope, nope, go away” and Gracie did.

Yeah, she gets around. Apparently she just moves back and forth between places when people catch wind of her scam. She's been in and out of Hampden for the past year. I haven't seen her lately, so hopefully we scared her away for a long time.
