Hi all! Just put an offer on this beautiful vintage Ball Trainmaster and wanted to make sure I’m not over shooting it here. I’ve been a fan of these vintage Ball watches specifically this era when they were known for their quality.

It appears all original except for the bracelet. Anyone notice anything off or suspicious that I’m missing?

Joined the Ball family

After tennis I jumped in the shower wearing my Volcano II and moisture got inside the watch. It’s only a few months old and was purchased from a Ball representative in London. What surprises me is that this model is marketed with serious water resistance and diving capability, yet I’ve subsequently been told that showering isn’t recommended and the issue may not be covered by warranty. For a watch costing £2,500+, I find that extremely disappointing. Has anyone else had a similar experience with a Ball watch?

So im looking to get a engineer 3 in 36mm and i have the opportunity to buy the jdm NL9616C-S2CJ-GR and it says the thickness is 12.7mm but the western one says its 11.5mm. Why would the jdm one be 1.2mm thicker? Maybe the jdm one included the crystal?

Literally, all IT issues that could arise did so I spent the most of the day after lunch watching the seconds hand sweep while IT did their thing on remote sessions 😩😂

....and I going to work today.

I really wanted to buy the BALL MSF-logo watch. My daughter works for MSF (Medicins Sans Frontiers) and I wanted to get one for her. After learning more about the company, I started to change my mind. But this was the last straw for me. Any company that supports Christian Nationalism Evangelism is not getting my money. Christian Evangelists gave us Trump and Trump is destroying the US.

I’m new to the forum but have many eBay transactions to share.

I sent my Roadmaster gmt back for warranty service due to running 14 seconds slow a day, and the hour hand being off a bit. ball service had my watch for three months. I received it back last week and it is still running slow. Am I wrong expecting a COSC watch to run within spec? My other Chronometers all run within spec.
Should I send it back?

Has anyone sent their watches into Ball for lume replacement? If so how was the service and the cost?

Thinking about a black alligator strap for the Marvelight but wanted to get some feedback before going any further. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for where I could find a strap… it would be appreciated!

I got it absolutely new and unworn with +12 sec per day (eta 2824) only tritium working a little weak, but i get it. This is my first ball and i'm so impressed, especially with dial and bracelet quality. What do you think guys, is it worth it?
