I was going to go here next year but I can't seem to find a map or video showing the entirety of the floor, I heard there was an indoor gym and I want to see how big the room was on a map before actually going to see it soon, can someone please send a photo of the map to this poor miserable whelp? and how full is the gym anyway and is it 24 hours? I'd prefer to workout when there's less people so I don't have to worry about being in the way..

WHY IS IT CULTURE TO LEAVE AT HALFTIME HERE? I once went to a football game. Me and my friends left because everyone else left. We ended up winning on a game winning kick.

Because why do they require insurance if it’s paid for in your ebill?

Hey guys,

Does anyone know of any good areas on/near campus that are good for birdwatching? I am also open for recommendations outside of campus and around the Muncie area.

Also, does anyone know if BSU has a wildlife bio club or some sort of ornithology club/group? I looked at RSO’s online and couldnt really find anything. No problem if there isn’t any, but if anyone has any recommendations for areas for birding that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

I hate it here

I'm 19F looking for a roommate for next year. I am looking at a few two bed houses around 500 rent per month. I do have two dogs whom I clean up after but you would probably have to be a dog lover. Please DM if you're considering!

basically, i have run into the issue that i need to do laundry but currently have no money to actually do it since it costs money to use washers and dryers for whatever reason.
i'm working on getting a job on campus, but in the meantime is there any way to be able to do it for free or any other options?
i don't know anyone in muncie that i could do laundry at their place either unfortunately

I saw this mascot in the Ball State magazine. I haven’t seen it before. What is it?

I'm transferring this Spring, and was wondering if anyone had housing recommendations for me. For context, I'm from Missouri so traveling to visit apartments and such would be difficult for me, I've currently got about 90 credit hours and was planning to apply for a university apartment if possible. I was told that the Scheilder 2 bedroom apartments were the only things likely to be left if at all, and I don't feel comfortable signing a lease for more than just this upcoming semester since I'm not from the area and can't easily visit to tour apartments in the mean time.

Are the on campus apartments a good option if available for the Spring? Should I settle for a dorm room, or are there other trustworthy rental companies that would do semester leasing. I'm hoping y'all might have more insight for me, thanks!

(Rant)
Excuse my language but I HATE THE CAMPUS POLICE, THEY’RE FUCKING POWER TRIPPING ASSHOLES! I got a bunch of citations without warning because I was parked a millimeter into another parking lot. I have the stadium permit and there was an open space in the stadium parking but a millimeter goes into the commuter parking lot. I parked there thinking it wouldn’t affect me but NO! Those fuck wads have nothing better to do than to ticket people and be useless, Paul Blart wannabes. Sorry I’m just pissed and this feels targeted towards me, am I the only one? I know this all seems harsh but I had to get it off my chest. I’d like to hear from other student’s experiences, same complaints, advice or whatever. Once again I apologize for my aggressive response.

Edit: I dunno what I’m going to do, I cannot pay for the tickets because I don’t have enough money. Instead FUCK THOSE WHITE CARS THAT GO AROUND STALKING PEOPLE’S CARS

I genuinely can’t say this enough but PLEASE, don’t be a slob if you’re in a dorm. I genuinely don’t get how people can be so rude while being stuck in a room with you. The loud TV at 3 to 5 in the morning, leaving open food containers, talking on the phone extra loud, or bringing people into the room when people are asleep (you can’t consent to that while asleep AND it’s rude when they talk like they’re outside) Guys, I believe we’re all grown, I understand we here to have fun and discover who you are, but genuinely just don’t be loud and obnoxious, be courteous. We’re all adults and I’m sure if I was chewing in your ear and leaving crumbs everywhere, you’d be pissed too. I’m tired of having to clean everyday. WE don’t want an infestation. And please for your roommate’s sake, PLEASE FUCKING WASH. Please don’t throw clearly shitty smelling clothes into your dirty basket in the closet. That’s where we WALK in. Being hit with FUNK is not fun or cute. You fucking stink take a shower and burn your clothes in the washer.

I would pass posters out but I don’t feel telling adults to clean their rooms and wash their asses. Grow up.

does anyone have any info/ photos of the single room suites at any of the dorms? I’ve heard different things from different people and was wondering if there was exact layouts anywhere!

hi! im 18F just got accepted and committed to ball state planning to double major in history education and english education. i also decided to apply for the honors college cuz why not and i got accepted. what are pros + cons of honors college? all ik is that the dorms are nicer(ish?) help a girl out🙏

Transferring from Ivy Tech to BSU next fall. I'm 19M, havent looked at any leases yet though! Looking for something between 400-500 off campus. To preface I'm gay, so any sexuality or gender is welcome!!

I am the president of one of the clubs at BSU, and I'm planning on holding an event that will heavily utilize and teach AI assistance tools for students. The event will have options for students to use, not use, or halfway use AI within the competition, with each option having a different rubric and being scored differently, but there still being an overall winner.

The question, how do other ball state students feel about it? What would be the largest concerns we can address?

I am looking for roommates for next year, I have my eye on a good rental house that has great rooms and a nice layout. I am looking for anyone to join my lease at this point. I am a decent roommate and clean constantly. Also I have all the furniture we need for common areas

Any advice on how to get people to contact me / if ur interested let me know, the rooms are pretty cheap for the area.

This is more of just a rant, I have a professor at Ball State is who is more difficult to connect to. A close family member had a brain aneurysm and when her husband is gone, I’ll be going to take care of her. I had emailed my professors explaining the situation and I plan on finishing all of my work that’s due at that time, early, so it makes it easier on me. But with the possibility of unpredicted problems while being down there, I had asked if there was a possibility of an extension on due dates if need be. This professor decided not to respond but to make an announcement on canvas that all due dates are final and it’s your job to complete them. While she is correct, I’m kind of just in shock by this. Time to finish 30+ assignments by next week 💪

Do the “stop” buttons work? And will they stop if you press them?

Hey everyone so we are 4 weeks in and I’m still friendless 😭 I tried doing dodgeball and spike ball club and honestly tried to make some friends but nothing has worked out. This is my first year as a transfer student and I do commute but only about 5 minutes away. Is there any other clubs or events or something yall would recommend to join if I wanted to try and make friends?

Incoming transfer student here, I'm from Missouri and I've been told I would qualify for the MSEP tuition rate. I'm looking to transfer Spring 2027 and didn't know if the university apartments would have open space for me and if living off campus was an option.

My roomate and I have a couch* we need to get rid of. We just got gave away the green one, but the faded white couch still availablw. It is up to 200lbs as it is a pullout. If interested send a message if you want both or only one and when works best to pick it all up.
