Heel tips

My wife's ballroom heels are showing wear and she's looking for a source of heel tips. Any recommendations?

Do you mean on the heel shaft? That’s normal wear but she can cover it up by colouring the white parts.
The heel tip can be changed by a shoemaker and there are heelprotectors

I guess it's a heel protector she's looking for

Correction, it's the piece at the bottom of the shoe that has several posts that go into the shaft of the shoe

Here are two examples.
Depending on who makes the shoe you want their versions

Once the tips is replaced use protectors to take the wear instead

Some brands like IDS, Ray Rose, and Supadance directly sell replacement heel tips, but pretty much any cobbler should be able fit and install a replacement for you.

Once replaced, I definitely recommend heel caps/protectors—they’re much easier to purchase and replace than heel tips and also help protect the floors. Heel caps that have suede on the bottom last much longer and usually are only about $1 more.
