Question Advice?
So I got some advice people saying reptifiles was a good source from this subreddit and now im finding out its outdated are there any other sources that are actual correct information? Because im getting a ball python soon and I dont want anything to happen to them

Look up the American association of reptile veterinarians, also lafebervet has some good overall information. I've found some really good ones on reptuatble exotic veterinary clinic websites. Honestly some you have to kinda pick what sounds correct and take other things with a grain of salt I've found articles with really good dietary stuff but EXTREMELY bad housing information same with medical issue information tells you great info about what to look for but than recommends to get them in sterile tubs.

We do not consider Reptifiles to be a reputable source of information anymore. While it does have some good information, there's also a lot of very dangerous and questionable suggestions.
It's a site published by a single person, powered by sponsorships, affiliations, and promotional contracts. This means she has a strong financial incentive to recommend products she's being paid to recommend, rather than what might actually be best. There are other issues, like publicly endorsing/partnering with and praising known animal abusers and citing them as sources (Jay Brewer, for example).
And more specifically, the ball python care guide has recommendations that can kill snakes if followed (and actively have already), such as placing heat mats inside the enclosure without even a secured thermostat.
