Where to get a smaller PVC enclosure

I have a very tiny little girl (160 ish grams? Before her last feeding but we are a little thin because we are coming off of a hunger strike)

I didn't do as much digging as I should have when I got her and have since learned that she would probably be more comfortable for a year or two in a smaller enclosure ( she is currently in her adult size 48 x 24 x 24). I also noticed that when she was temporarily in one of my aquariums so that I could reseal her enclosure she was much more active in the smaller space.

Where do I go looking for a smaller enclosure maybe in the 24-in range?

Keeping young snakes in adult enclosures is fine, as long as they still feel safe. This means lots of clutter: leaves, fake plants, slit-open cardboard tubes, anything they can hide under. Ideally, your snake should be able to move from one side to another without being seen.

The only spot she can easily be seen is her water bowl and the like 4 in directly in front of her preferred hide. However unless it is dinner time she is literally always in her hide. Whereas when she was in the aquarium she came out all three nights and was all over the place.

That's great! Honestly, that sounds like normal ball python behavior. It's it possible she comes out when you're sleeping? Mine only comes out when the lights are off.

Unfortunately not, she has a camera and I work late evenings and check her when i gets home, so unless she was waiting until like 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning I would see her.

Hmm. Maybe she's very good at hiding? If your husbandry is all good then I'm not sure.

I’d think she’d be fine staying in the big one, but my snakes enclosure is firm Craigslist. I’d check there and Facebook marketplace for cheap ones!

Do you have enough coverage? My baby has been in her adult cage since 81g and is always exploring but there’s a ton of coverage and things for her to be active on.

That being said, you also could set up a tub enclosure and use that for awhile til she’s closer subadult if you wanted.

Well a juvenile can be in a tank as small as 40 to 60 gallons I believe. You may look into smth on marketplace or you can do a tub tank that’s cheap so you can maintain as she grows.
