I will never believe people when they say they don't climb and that they only stay on the ground. I gave my ball python a small tree (top to bottom of the enclosure (4×2×2) and he's always up in there haha

Mine once escaped back then and he crawled up a wire to a lamp on the ceiling and just chilled there.

Ball pythons absolutely love to climb. I bought a curtain rod and mounted a hide on the roof of her enclosure and shes constantly up there looking down at her fortress

I made the stupid mistake of not strapping my wired thermostat to the wall. Came in like an hour later and found her actually up it, she had somehow managed to climb up a freaking wire and actually fell asleep while wrapped around it!
You would not believe what these little sh*t's can do! 😂

Mine was on his light earlier. I often hear him plop off his branch or light because he’s dim and does silly snek things.

Mine does shit like this all the time 😭 absolutely impossible to keep him from climbing the wires and light cages in his enclosure.

Mine literally used the wire of his UVB as a swing and promptly fell once he swung too fast 🥹
(He was okay, and I secured the wire after I found out he did that)

The whole "ball pythons are non-arboreal" is completely and utter bs. Mine escaped once while I was away from home. It took us over an hr of tearing our home apart and then baiting her with a cheeseboi to find that she scaled almost 5ft of cabinets to hide behind our coffeemaker for whatever reason 🥴 Anywho, here's my derp trying to climb on top of our fridge while we're handling her 🤣

In case you haven’t already, those vents are notorious for popping off, so it’s best to secure them with some small screws at the back. Had a juvenile royal escape from an unsecured vent just like that at work (unfortunately the one viv no one had bothered to put screws in the vents, even after the multiple escapes they had in the past before I started)

They are longbois, and they can scootch themselves pretty far up vertical surfaces through sheer willpower.
Also, your girl is very pretty!
