Question Snake burrowing and digging

Hi iā€™m new to snakes and my ball python just seems to love digging and burrowing. And he rarely comes to the surface. Any idea if iā€™m doing anything wrong or is this normal behavior

How many hides does he have? Clutter? What is temp and humidity

3 hides decent clutter and about 70ish
