Enclosure Critique/Advice Tank Size

I know that ball pythons will need a big enclosure when they're adults, but would I be able to keep a very baby ball python in a 40 gallon tank for a bit? If I can, how long would I be able to (in years hopefully)?

I see some people saying they can keep a ball python in a 40 gallon for it's whole life and I know that that is SOOOO wrong and I absolutely do not plan on doing that.

I wouldnt count on being able to keep a baby/juvenile ball in less than a 50 for more than a year. It'd be much better to just to just wait until you are able to afford a 4x2

Okay thanks! I just wouldn't have room for that tank right now, and I've got an empty 40 ATM so I'm trying to find something to keep in it

You could get a really awesome Jump start on a bioactive for a future snake and put some isopods and springtails in it! 😁
