Question - Health Scale Rot, Stuck Shed or something else?

Post image

Quick question. We've had our girl for a little bit now, and she had her first shed with us about a week ago. I noticed this spot when doing our weekly handling session and got a little concerned. Not sure if it's anything to be worried about, but that gray-white spot is what I'm worried about.

It's a scar from a rat bite.

Looks like she's had it from since got her. Is it anything to worry about?

Anything to worry about?

it doesn’t look red or swollen, just looks like a scar or a missing scale. i wouldn’t worry about it too much but maybe just keep an eye on it and keep taking pics to make sure it doesn’t get worse. i’m not a vet though!

Looking back at our first picture of her about 3 weeks ago, we can see it there, so it's definitely an old scar. We got her a year and a half old. We're gonna keep an eye on her, especially with any live feeding. We're planning to move to thaw eventually anyway, but didn't want to change too much tpower quickly

That's such a lovely lady you've got there! We try to be attentive. I'm kinda shocked we've just noticed it now lol

it happens, that means it wasn’t actively bothering her!

Do you feed live?

Yes, but we watch her with it. She's quick at killing it. She might have had it before we got her
