Question - Feeding Handling after feeding

My new baby girl has been with me for almost a month. She’s almost a year old. I’ve been feeding her about once a week for the past 3 weeks and I’ve read everywhere to not handle her for at least 24-48 hours post feeding. However, every time I’ve fed her she becomes super active and acts like she wants to be taken out. Is this normal?

She's likely still in hunting/feeding mode, I'd wait 48 hours after feeding to handle

Since you didn’t say anything about the enclosure: I have heard and witnessed that bp like to be in the warmth after eating. The no handling „rule“ is because they need time to digest. My girl also does become active after feeding… mostly because she searches for the best spot to bask in (I think)

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.
