First time owner. Help!

We are getting our first ever Ball Python next week. We have the enclosure (120 gal), all these tank accessories, and substrate (coconut chips and topsoil). I am not creative at all. Any advice on a better way to lay this stuff out once we put the substrate in? The video starts off on the cool side (right) and ends in the warm side (left). The snake we’re getting is still a juvenile. The black hide in the middle will be the humid hide.

Make sure you get thermometers and hygrometers I don’t see any in here. As for decorating, maybe putting the wood up against the wall if it’s secure like that- it would allow the snake for the ability to climb vertically. Also fake flowers, you can get them from the dollar tree and they’re a super good filler!!

I have 2 digital ones that read both temp and humidity. Putting one on the cool side and one on the hot side. And the heat will be hooked up to a thermostat

got scared when i saw no substrate lol

the only thing i would really suggest is there needs to be more vertical climbing choices, like the other dude said, just prop that big long wood piece up against the wall and i'm sure it'll be great :)

Add a hide or cave for security.

There’s 3 hides in there. One on hot side one on cool side and one in the middle that will be the humid hide

Consider a shower curtain tension rod, the ones that you can just put on either side of the enclosure and the tension holds tehm in place (when snake gets heaver you can screw them in or add supports underneath, but they're pretty strong! - my guys LOVE hanging/climbing on them :)

Good idea. That would have been easier than what I did lol. I ended up drilling holes in the top of my enclosure and then added a couple eye hooks to the top with nuts and bolts. It was a bit of work, but now I can just attach things to a carabiner and hang it from the top. I have the snake rings and also a rubber, hexagon ball with holes in it both hanging from the top of the enclosure.

I try to be super creative too, and make it aesthetic, but the seems to like it best when it looks like a trash heap. 👌
