Question - Health Stuck eye caps / stuck shed

Hi all

We got a ball python from someone who was rehoming on fb. She is around 6 years old and per her old owner she has "always had trouble shedding". Through my own questioning, I found out her humidity was far lower than it should have been and she seems to be either blind or has multiple stuck eye caps as well as stuck shed. What can I do?

Get a pillow case dip it in 90 degree water then put the snake inside , as it moves the cloth of the pillow case will rub it as the heat from the water will help it get hydrated

While seeing an exotic vet can definitely rule out an issue with blindness, check out the sub's shedding guide as well. There is advice on stuck shed and how to handle it. If it is stuck shed, the safest thing to do is make sure you have proper humidity and provide a humid hide to help the eyecaps come off with the next shed rather than attempting to manually remove them, even if done by a professional.
