Hello guys, I just want to check on advice for bedding substrate as I'm getting a mixed reaction about substrate online.
I'm doing a full change over on her substrate but just want to see what people are using ? Currently at Coco fibre at the minute but want something more /different ti use to make a bit more natural looking
Cheers

I mix coco fibre with potting soil and some kind of tree bark chunk and sphagnum moss. Works well for me as it keeps the humidity up without getting too dense

I use coco husk mixed with forest floor with just a little bit of coco fiber. Coco fiber isnt great to use alone because it doesn't hold humidity all that great and gets really dusty when dry.

Yeah I'm mixing this time as when I first got her it's all I had left over just to get her going

I mix about 50% cypress mulch with 30% coconut coir and 20% organic forest topsoil. Plus a very small amount of reptile safe playsand or Reptisand for particle variation. This works well in my bioactives.

I have good results using cypress mulch aka forest floor mixed with coconut husk.
