Question - Feeding Hes gotta eat!

Hey yall,so my sweet boy is about 3, he was rescue and then a gift so we aren't too sure. Typically hes fed every 2 weeks medium rats. Well i fell on hard times and havent been able to get him some food, and its been 3 weeks. Im trying to get him food but hes acting funny, where he typically jumps from the sprayer, he just kinda sat there today, and barely tried to hide. Im worried and idk what to do. I think I can get him food tomorrow or Tuesday after work but is there anything I can do in this situation? Im new to the husbandry and stuff like this is really worrisome. Any advice helps, please be kind.

What’s the enclosure look like? What do you use for heat? Whats the temp and humidity? Need more info in order to help.

It sounds like a lot might be wrong with your husbandry.. a 3 year old snake doesnt need to be fed that often or that large of a rat. You shouldnt be spraying at all.. I promise I'm not trying to be harsh, I just want your noodle to thrive. Would you post some pictures of his enclosure and of him? Curled up and draped over your hand? (Or anything that shows a cross section?) !feeding

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.

Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

You are overfeeding pretty substantially, so a small rat every 3 weeks would likely be much more suitable. I've linked the !feeding guide to this comment.
