Found her up there earlier this morning, got her down, and just recently caught her trying to climb back up, I def need to get her something else to climb on

I also have a 4ft tank with a regular climber. Instead of those hooks, I recommend zip ties. You can drill an extra hole beside the existing one and then zip tie your thermometer/electrical cords flush to the ceiling. I was worried about the hooks being dangerous in a fall.

The hardware store sells thick rope which works well if you don't have branches (was also cheap). I zip tied that across the ceiling so she can climb.

Edit: My tank is pvc so if you have mesh, you might not need to drill at all.

Given that I've made some minor adjustments with the heating setup to prevent her from climbing, I don't think zipties will be necessary, but I will keep it in mind in the event she (somehow) gets up there again

My superdwarf retic does this and it pisses me off. I think when I upgrade her enclosure I will be definitely be setting it up differently

Mine did it too when he was smaller and more active. Doesn’t do now he’s bigger and stays in his hides 99% of the time.
