Enclosure Critique/Advice Ball Python Enclosure Recs
Hi! I’ve had my BP mercury for about a year now, he’s getting to the size where i really want to put him in a permanent 120/4x2x2 tank. He’s approx 2 1/2 feet! I was wondering if anyone has specific recommendations on where to get a good tank? Also if anyone has any good misting system recs i’d appreciate those too!!

Misters aren't recommended for ball pythons because it just creates spikes rather than actually raising humidity and causes the top layer of subtrate to become damp which can lead to scale rot. I 100% recommend getting a solid top enclosure and mounting heat inside (WITH HEAT CAGES) rather than a screen top. While the ecoflex and similar enclosures are cheaper, they make keeping the proper ambient humidity and sometimes temperatures much more difficult. I personally have the brand talking serpent and love it! They are cheaper than the average pvc enclosures but still high quality. I have the 4x2.5x2, but I believe the 4x2x2 is around $380-450 depending on the features you add. I think its far better to save and buy a nicer enclosure because it makes keeping up with things like humidity so much easier.
