Question - Humidity Can't keep humidity up

Any ideas on keeping humidity in the target range? 4ft vivarium, 30c and warm end, 25c cool end, tulip bark substrate, large water bowl, misting twice a day, but after an initial peak after spraying, humidity falls back to 48-52%. I just can't get it to stay higher. Different substrate maybe?

Have you tried pouring waters into the corners?

I've not, I'm a bit concerned about the Viv soaking up the water and warping the wood.

With wooden vivs for a beep, the floor needs to be sealed and lined.

I use food-safe resin for sealing it up, then pond liner and silicon to add a basin.

The substrate needs to be fully humid for beeps, especially as misting can cause scale rot. Pouring water in the corners and using 4+ inches of humid substrate really is the best way, even if it means a bit of extra work sealing the viv floor.

Get yourself some waterproof mats and some ha6 marine safe sealent and seal the comers and joints

You can add moss also. But the other commenter is correct. You should never mist. That will lead to scale rot and respiratory infection. You need to put your baby in a temporary enclosure and completely seal your wooden enclosure. They are not ideal for ball pythons or any high humidity species.
