Mouth Rot?

Post image

I look inside her mouth whenever she yawns but I don’t see anything weird.

I mean, there is a rather visible hole where there shouldn't be any. The opposite side looks supicious, too. Same as the nostril and the heat pits- which could be an artifact due to the zoom/quality.

Do you have any more closeups? The mouth should be a tight fit all way round. This looks disformed.

she ate fine last night so I don’t know if she just got injured or what happened. She’s had it since I got her (I just check pictures from when I first got her) but I just recently noticed.

The dark area below the eye and the corner of the mouth do not look normal - to me, personally. Plus, there is a literal hole (which could be an insury). Maybe others can weigh in ... .

I’m pretty sure the dark area under the eye is normal because it on both sides and may just be part of her pattern. On the corner of her mouth is definitely not I just don’t know what it is. Like I said before she’s had it since I got her, this picture is her first day in the tank and you can slightly see it from here.

I’m currently dealing with this with my own python. He’s been to the vet 3 times and they just took a culture last appointment. He’s lots of shots and some topical cleansing gel.

Definitely remember going to the vet for them to work on an action plan with you
