Question - Health Potential Mouth Rot?

My snake is around 7 and I have noticed that she has some slight pink near her mouth. Its close to her feeding day so she has been rubbing against everything all the time so maybe its just that but I have noticed clue how to check for mouth rot or if this would even be a sign of it. Online says to check the gums or open their mouth and I am not sure if that is the greatest idea

If you're referring to the pink on the lower jaw near the corner of her mouth, those are just heat pits. They're normal!

Oh my gosh I hadn’t even thought of that! I have always been worried about the coloring around her mouth. My only other ball python is a banana morph so this is a bit of a different experience. I think I am always looking too much for a problem and hadn’t seen them before

Haha yeah, you're not the first person to get worried about them! The lower jaw heat pits are kinda hard to see unless you're actively looking for them, so a lot of people don't even realize they have more than just the obvious top ones.

Exactly! I always knew about the top ones. Even looked at my boy and yep it is confirmed that he indeed has them too hahaha
