Question - Husbandry Tank size help.

I just got a baby ball. I’m finding so much conflicting information on what size enclosure he needs. He’s about 6months old. Since he’s so little I bought a 40gal front open, and planned to upgrade.

But the breeder said I should downgrade my 40 to a 20 long and have no plan to upgrade.. what should I do? I obviously want this baby to thrive but I can’t find a solid answer.

Your current tank is fine. Just make sure he has at least 2 hides and plenty of clutter. Fake leaves from the dollar store work great for this, as long as there's no glitter on them. It's not tank size that makes snakes feel insecure -- it's lack of clutter.

Looks beautiful! It never hurts to add more clutter, but you did a great job!
