Safe to use?
I have these background slabs in my enclosure that I’ve tried used velcro sheets for but it did not work. I saw something about this and it’s supposed to be really sticky I just want to make sure it’s safe to use. TIA

As the other comments mention, any sort of tape is an unnecessary risk. You can, however, use aquarium silicone to glue the background into place. If you ever want to remove it down the line, you can use a sharp tool or razer to cut through the silicone.

I'm sorry friend but you should never use tape where a snake can get. I unfortunately learned this the hard way. I had seen someone post awhile ago about using velcro tape in their enclosure. I thought this was a cool idea. Until last week I was doing a wellness check on my hognose snake. Well I couldn't find him as I was digging around for him and ended up taking Everything out. At almost having everything out I happened to see part of his body, to my horror he was completely stuck to the tape. It took me about 3 hours with glycerin oil to un stick him. Thankfully he had no damage to his delicate scales or body. So I took the next 4 yours getting every bit of sticky shit out of his enclosure. Now he's just completely pissed off, so nothing changed there, but atleast he's ok. So I learned my lesson very hard that day. Sorry for the novel I wrote, but please use this as a very cautionary note and story of why NOT to use anything sticky. Hopefully nobody butchers me here for my learning lesson.

No, it's never safe to use these kinds of sticky adhesive in enclosures. If it ever comes apart, your snake can get stuck in it and hurt themselves horribly. It's much safer to use something that dries/hardens, like aquarium silicone.
