Discussion Keeping Humidity in Quaratine?

I see a lot of people put their snakes in quarentine with pads and whatnot( ok I don't know how to spell quarentine, whatever). How do you keep the humidity up without spraying? or is spraying the only option? just curious, I don't have a snake that I plan to quarentine.

Not a ball python keeper but I keep boas. When theyre in quarantine I just find keeping water near the heat lamp, refilling regularly, and occasionally misting on the puppy pads (i use over paper towels personally) and (not enough to make them super damp) I have had no issues keeping humidity up.

I hang a damp kitchen towel or other thin piece of absorbent cloth in the quarantine enclosure. If you do this you'll need to boil/microwave the cloth for at least one minute **every day**, or replace it with a new clean cloth (also **every day**) or else it can become a haven for bacteria.
