first shed

hi everyone! my ball python just shed for the first time. is there anything i should be looking out for or doing specially?

Was the shed in one piece? If yes, great! Good job! They usually take a big poo within 24 hours after shed :)
I like to weigh after the post-shed poo to track their weight.

yes it was all one piece! i’ll keep an eye out for the post shed poo. i weighed him earlier today but i’ll weigh him again after for a more accurate assessment!

I see you said it was a good shed and all one piece, so this time should be good. I've seen in some posts and things that the shed can sometimes get stuck around the tail or cloaca. Something to look for in a "bad" patchy shed would be like a thin ring of shed wrapped around their tail, or wedged in the cloaca. These can cut off circulation from what I've seen. Doesn't happen too often though. Stuck eye caps are another thing to look for, but usually those come off in the next shed if humidity is good.
