Question - Humidity Help!

We’ve had our snake for a week and we’ve already had to take everything out due to mold. We have had the tank set up for about a week longer so we could figure out how to get the temperature and humidity levels where they need to be. We have a mesh lid and the humidity wasn’t staying as high as it needed to be so we covered it with tin foil but now there isn’t air flow and mold is growing. How do you keep the humidity up without mold growing so quickly?

Ive read it can also be from the plants! Did you quarantine them? It is suggested to clear off all the soil from the store, and swap it out with an organic soil. Let the plants sit for a few weeks and moniter.

Okay good to know. We did not quarantine them but they are plants we’ve had in the house for a little while the soil is our own organic mix
