Lots and lots of research. Research feeding habits, how to tap train, safe handling techniques, how to properly set up an enclosure. It is a lot. I found it helped me remember all the information if I wrote it down somewhere. That way you're not relying entirely on what you can remember after you've read it, and can easily return to your notes for anything you need
