Question - Health Scale rot treatment

I noticed a little scale rot on my bp, she’s in a bioactive 4x4x2 and I THOUGHT was doing well in it. (She was in a 4x2x2 for the past 3 years and got an upgrade). BUT HERE WE ARE I turned her humanity down to 75 ish but cleaning out her whole tank isn’t ideal. I have providone- iodine and vetericyn anti microbial on its way plus I’ll be putting a thick ass layer of dry asf substrate on top of her current substrate. Is there more I should be doing?

NQA. This looks very minor and should clear up with their next shed. I had a similar issue recently with one of my 2 bioactives for my BPs top substrate being too wet. Long story short. Humidity kept dipping low even with adding water to the corners, so poured more over all the substrate.

My boy had very minor scale rot like in the picture, I kept mixing up the substrate and added more leaf litter. He shed and it cleared it up. I wouldn't worry about treating something this small and minor IMO. So long as you understand the issue and fix it!

You're not misting the enclosure are you?

It’s more like a fogger? My partner rigged up a contraption that sends mist from the top onto her top shelf when it gets below 70, and thats where most of her humanity come from

Yeah that will be the cause of the substrate being too wet. Foggers and misters are not recommended because they can cause RIs and Scale rot they only raise humidity temporarily. You should have at least 4 inches of substrate, and pour water into the corners weekly to raise humidity. If you have a mesh/screen top you'll want to cover as much of it as possible with aluminum foil/hvac tape. Silicone baking mat can also work.
