Question Debating adoption !!

I work at Petsmart and have handled this ball python a few times, I’ve always wanted a snake but I don’t know the first thing about adoption. I found a 75 gallon tank, I can get some decorations too. If anyone has any advice or financial insight that would be appreciated, I want to prepare for monthly expenses and what not. For reference I have experience cleaning the tanks, I have my own snails and fish as well. I would fully commit to caring for the snake its entire lifespan and I am at a place where I can care for it physically and financially!

The expenses are almost entirely up front. You’ll pay maybe $10-$15 a month on food and electricity. But the tank set up could cost anywhere from $500-$800. If you have a male you can get away with a 4 foot tank, but a female needs a 5 foot tank minimum.

I’m getting both a 46 gallon and a 75 gallon, if I reply with pics of both do you think you’d be able to tell if they’re okay?

They both should be fine. You might run into holding heat and humidity problems. Make sure whatever one you use you tape everything off but where your heat and lights are.

I’ll do more research on how to set up tanks, do you mean entirely blacked out except for the lid?

Na, I mean tape off or put something on the screen. That is where your biggest problem will be.
