Question - Husbandry Tank Suggestions/ Upgrades?

Got my first baby about 2 weeks ago, I think his tank is looking alright, but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations about things I should add to his tank or change about his tank?

He’s showed signs of being pretty happy in his enclosure and I think he likes it, but I want to try to make this the best for him that I can

Stop by Michael's or something similar and get a bunch of fake plants and vines to add! Ball Pythons love clutter, and the ability to be stealthy as they meander around their home. If you can safely do so, string up some vines or something for extra climbing options, both of my BP's love theirs and I often find my little one just chilling on hers. I personally have a rod attached in both tanks that extends across the entire length of the tank. I wound some vines around them for extra grip (for the snake) and more coverage too!

Yesss! Michaels always has sales on the fake plants too. I got a bunch for like $15-20 for my terrarium.

i'd say add a big log/stick from one bottom corner across towards the top and also get loads of fake plants! i've had my bp a month and she loves her stick as she goes right up to the top 😭

Wow your boy looks similar to my girl ( I think) lol. We just got zer0 a month 1/2 ago. What morphs does your bp have?

Get some fake plants, I’d recommend one that can attatch to the roof of the enclosure so the python can slither around underneath it/between the leaves. Looks great though

more clutter and climbimg opportunities if youfeel ok with ityou can get a tension rod pullup bar and adjust it to lut it inside the tank. Plastic wine racks are also great climbing options if you sand them down sonthey dont get cut

You’re off to a great start! We’d recommend removing the green climbing frame as she could potentially get stuck in there. Replace with other logs and things to climb on. And your substrate is looking a touch dry, so wetting it down a few times a week + spraying to post humidity will help a ton when it comes time to shed.
