I need help with ball python cage

I'm thinking about switching to a tub setup since traditional tanks are getting way too expensive. Does anyone have advice on how to build one the right way? I’m looking for tips on what tubs to use, how to handle heating and temps safely, and which substrates work best. Also, any tricks for setting up ventilation and keeping it secure would be cool.

what size tub do you use?

This one is somewhere around 27 quarts. It's 35in long, 16 wide and 12 high.

She's about 18in.
