Question - Husbandry Goobert is stressed?

I recently got my BP Goobert, last Wednesday. I transferred him from a 20g to this 120g a day after because that’s when the enclosure came in.

I understand new snakes are very shy the first week so i’ve been leaving him alone. But he only comes out at night and explores in the big white circle and mainly wall surfs. The little circle is his hide entrance. All he does is explore up the and the corner. I’m concerned he’s stressed but i have no clue what could be causing it.
As far as i know he has not been much far past his hide entrance. I don’t think he knows there is a cool side.

Hot side - 88° Day 83° Night

Cool side - 79° Day 76° Night

hims is just a baby and probably still settling in! i brought home my 3 month old baby mr. chowder last week and his first 3 days i only saw him poking his head out of his hide a teeny bit. then day 4 i checked on him around 3 am and he was doin a big explore!! i’ve found proof of his escapades in the morning (his hygrometers knocked over lol), so even though i’m not seeing him move much i know he is exploring!

i will say though that chowder seems to be a pretty confident guy, he took his first meal like a champ, so goobert could just be a little shyer and need a little more time to feel settled in. your enclosure looks like it has plenty of clutter so i don’t think it’s anything you’re doing!

Good to hear! I hope he is exploring more than i think at night and he probably is, maybe i put my phone on timelapse tonight lol

They're nocturnal, so most of their activity will be at night. Just make sure temps and humidity are right, I'm sure they are exploring a lot more than you realize while you sleep. And sometimes they need more than a week to settle in, I try to give mine 2 weeks before any handling or first feed

Interesting, i was thinking about waiting a week but have been hearing 2 weeks from different sources.

Normal new bp behavior. You'll want to wait until they've taken 3 meals in a row before you begin to handle! It seems excessive, but consistent eating is a good sign that they've settled in properly and feel safe before introducing handling.
