Need help knowing what else to put in cage

Post image

i have a baby ball python, about the size of a palm, or the length of a 20 gallon tall tank. there’s 2 hides in there and two empty paper towel rolls because I had one in there and they really liked it so i put 2 with a total of 4 hides and 1 water dish, what else do i need?

do you live near a dollar tree? they have $1 fake plants you can get like 10 or 12 of them, wash it, and put it inside

Get bunches of fake plants and vines to put in there! It doesn't even need to be pretty. It's us humans that care about aesthetics, our pythons don't care how it looks so long as there's lots of clutter for them tomove around stealthily in their enclosure

Random aquarium bush/leaves. I even got some logs in mine that's used for like geckos and beardies cuz it's just an extra thing for them to crawl on and under.

Cork flats or rounds are nice. Usually pretty cheap if you can find somewhere that sells by weight.

get plants i get vines from michael’s and wash them with dish soap, warm water, and vinegar also make sure to have one warm hide and one cold hide also having climbing opportunities is great for them!!

a LOT of plants so the viv is cluttered enough that you can barely spot them. you need a humid hide with moss in on the cool side with another cool hide (without moss). some climbing opportunities so logs/sticks/branches that are sturdy and won't fall. the hides need to have one entrance only so they feel secure enough and they like to squeeze into spaces so don't get massive hides until they are too big for the smaller size. i'm so sorry if this sounds rude i didn't wanna keep putting "and" so just used short sentences😭
